Aug 6, 2025. Daysail. 39 nm in 6.5 hrs, averaging 6 kts. Winds were 15 kts right in the direction we needed to go, so we cruisers got tons of practice tacking! We had to abort our original plans to make it up to Sandy Hook given the rough seas. We had guests aboard! Near the end we were weaving in and out with a sailboat doing the same thing, but they continued north.
