We have had to sail so close to the wind that we are hand-steering to take advantage of the little bursts of wind that come from 30 degrees instead of 20. Mel would like to announce that her morning Offshore Close-Hauled Trampoline Workout is cancelled, as the trampoline is currently flapping wildly in the wind, held onto the boat by only the forward line. We will have to point downwind to fix it, which will probably wake the kids up, screaming that they’ve gone deaf.
